Definitions:

Proofreading is typically applied to checking spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, ensuring correct sentence structure and word usage, verifying calculations and content (e.g., use of the same abbreviation for a scientific technique throughout a work). It also involves comparing an original to a translation.

Editing process addresses coherence and unity throughout the document. It is performed on several levels: content, clarity, style, overall structure. This can involve revising, rewriting, restructuring a paragraph or moving text to a better location. The editor defines, for example, if the use of gendered language or idioms appropriate.

Editing & Proofreading

If your Russian document doesn't feel right or a translation hasn't been undertaken by a Russian native speaker, then you need this service. Your text will be polished up and checked for spelling, punctuation, hyphenation, omissions, stressing, cultural adjustments, idiom usage, ambiguities as well as consistency of style and content.

Please note that I do not proof any machine/software generated mistranslations. If that is your case, the only way is to translate the document correctly and professionally from scratch.

Please contact me by email or phone for more information or free estimate.
